Global Leader in Air Filtration Was Selected by Grainger Out of More than 5,000 Suppliers
American Air Filter Co. Inc., dba AAF International and its subsidiary Flanders Corp., has been named the Grainger Partners in Performance Supplier of the Year for 2016. The award was announced earlier this month at a special event held in Chicago. AAF Flanders is the only company to receive this honor for two years in a row.
The global air filtration leader was chosen from among more than 5,000 manufacturers across a wide variety of industries that supply Grainger’s distribution centers and branches worldwide. AAF Flanders supplies about 3,000 different stock keeping units (SKUs) of Air Handler brand air filters to Grainger.
Grainger’s Partners in Performance Award recognizes suppliers who achieve excellence in several categories, including responsiveness, information integrity, on time shipping and variability, management commitment and order fulfillment. Grainger suppliers receive ratings throughout the year for their performance in each of these categories. Out of Grainger’s more than 5,000 suppliers, less than 1 percent are chosen to receive these annual awards. The overall Supplier of the Year Award goes to a company that has demonstrated outstanding performance in assisting Grainger with serving its customers.
“The Supplier of the Year Award usually goes to a smaller company, one that provides Grainger with a limited number of products,” said Tim Zwilling, Vice President of Sales, Integrated Supply at AAF Flanders. “A smaller shop understandably has a much smaller margin for error. With the large catalog of filters we supply to Grainger, this award is quite a testament to our team and the high-quality service we provide. And it’s truly an honor to be recognized two years in a row.”
