GREEN BUILDER NAMES TRANE DUCTLESS HOT 50

Green Builder Names Trane 4MXW38 Ductless Indoor High Wall Unit as a Hot 50 Green Product for 2017. Davidson, N.C., June 6, 2017 – Editors at Green Builder magazine selected the Trane® 4MXW38 Ductless Indoor High Wall unit as one of its Hot 50 Green Products for 2017. Trane is a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand.

This annual list identifies the most innovative, creative and all-around sustainable products available to U.S. builders and architects. The Trane 4MXW38 Ductless Indoor High Wall unit was designed for cold climates with a leading seasonable energy efficiency rating (SEER). The high wall indoor unit must be paired with an outdoor ductless heat pump, which work seamlessly together to deliver precise, reliable comfort.

“We are honored to be recognized with a Hot 50 product for our ductless indoor wall unit and for our commitment to engineering sustainable and efficient products,” said Tai McKinney, Trane ductless portfolio manager. “We are dedicated to bringing sustainable, reliable products to the market that help customers meet their demand for greater sustainability and efficiency.”

The 4MXW38 Ductless Indoor High Wall unit features SEER ratings up to 38, energy efficiency ratings (EE) ratings up to 16.5, and heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF) ratings up to 15. The unit operates down to minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit with 100 percent capacity at 0 degrees Fahrenheit, making it ideal for warm and cool climates.

"At Green Builder, we follow Trane's environmental initiatives closely,” said Matthew Power, Editor-in-Chief at Green Builder. “But it's not their verbal commitments that caught our attention for our annual Hot 50 Green Product listing. It's the way they design and engineer every product to optimize performance. That's where measurable improvements in sustainability take place."

Green Builder Magazine also ranked Trane as one of the greenest HVAC brands in 2017 based on their green brand survey taken by builders and architects who work in the field with these products and brands on a daily basis.
