Emerson’s level transmitter with new process seal antenna delivers reliable measurement in extreme conditions
Upgraded corrosion-resistant design is ideal for a broad range of liquid, slurry, and solids applications
With the aim of providing reliable level measurement in the most challenging applications, Emerson has introduced an all-PTFE process seal antenna for the Rosemount 5408 Non-Contacting Radar Level Transmitter. The new antenna has been developed specifically for demanding applications and media, such as reactors, mixers, and solids, and is ideal for handling corrosive media and high condensation levels. All wetted parts are made from PTFE to maximize corrosion resistance. Signal quality metric diagnostics provide dirty antenna detection, enabling preventive maintenance. The antenna is available in 2 in., 3 in., and 4 in. sizes (2 in. and 3 in. for tri-clamp), and provides increased pressure and temperature ratings compared to older Rosemount radars.
